Re: Drives not accessable

I was also facing the same issue it tried to remove autorun.inf manually and it worked for me hope it will work for you too

Following are the steps for removing Autorun.inf
  1. Click on Folder options, than Click on Show Hidden Files.

  2. Click on Hide Protected Operating system files, you need to uncheck it. Confirm by clicking on Yes.

  3. Now explore your drive and you will see autorun.inf , delete this file on all your partitions and restart your computer.

Now everything would be fine.

Re: Drives not opening

I agree with Killen, the PC is infected.

What antivirus you are having? You should turn off the system restore. Update the definitions of the antivirus. Boot into safe mode and then scan your PC.

Few days ago, my cousin had a similar situation. Her PC had virus on it. AVG detected but couldnt remove the virus, and virus crashed it. I then uninstalled AVG and installed Avast. Avast was able to get rid of the virus.

So scan the PC for virus, or post your problem in the virus section of this forum.
