    Problem with 128 GB SSD

Now I just got to enjoy myself with my new configuration. I decided to take a SSD hard disk of 128GB to boost it. But that's the problem, installing vista, normal startup, and each installation programs slow double time with my old config. Can you help me, is there a setting to do in the bios on vista?

    System Config:

    Motherboard: Gigabyte EP45T-EXTREME
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
SSD Hard Drive: 128 GB SSD SATA II

I think that should be the problem of ssd itself. I had the same problem with compact flash drive once upon a time! I would suggest you to change the ssd.

it's weird, I get good performance with different tests on HDD.

I spend a normal hard disk 12.5ms at 0.2 with the SSD.

yes, but always the same problem. the controller is bad and certainly not present the cache. Even Mlc brand of ssd are very average. Only ssd SLC (expensive) are really powerful! How you paid your 128

Have you done a Vista upgrade over the top of XP or is it a fresh installation? If so that is your issue. It has been seen that XP upgrade to Vista takes longer to boot than clean install of Vista. It just does not go well.

If you bought a Vista upgrade here is what to do so you can install Vista.

    1. Boot of Vista DVD and tell it to do a clean install. This will wipe the drive and install Vista. When it ask for your key code DO NOT TYPE anything in. Let it do the install.

    2. Once it has installed eject the Vista DVD and then put it back in. It will come up with wanting to run and upgrade install. Let it and NOW put the code in.

    Hope that helps.
