Assign your printer with an ip address. After giving an ip address to your printer assign an output queue to it using the "CRTOUTQ" command. It's nothing but the internet address known as an ip address which you have assigned to your printer earlier. After doing that, execute the "STRRMTWTR" command with the output queue being the name that you have assign your printer. This will allow you to print by using your ip address from the Lan.

You ca do that by clicking on Start--> Then select Control Panel-->In that select Printers and Faxes from your computer. When the icon of the printer comes up, right click on it and click on the word Shared from the drop down menu.

Once you have done that, your computer would be able to see it over your network.Sometimes, you need to reboot your computer. However, some printers needs to have the drivers to be installed on the computer from the CD you get with the printer or from drivers you download from the printers website.

Hey dude follow this, hope so you might be able to use your printer via Lan.
    • Try to get the printer with a network card which will help you to add a print server using a printer USB or by a LTP port for connecting to lan.
    • If you try to connect your printer directly to one computer, you would be able to share it on the network. But it can be only possible if you always open that particular computer.
