How to Set up network Printer

I am having a printer and i wan to have it on my Network.Can anyone tell me what are the steps which i need to follow for setting up an network printer.

Sure i will help you out this is,before that may i know which operating System are you using ?

I am using Windows XP Sp2.

Following are the steps which you need to follow:-

1. Click on Start -- >Settings- - >Printers and Faxes.
   
2. Click on Add a printer.
   
3. In the Add Printer wizard, click Add a local printer.
   
4. Click Create a new port. Make sure Local Port is selected in the list, and then click Next.
   
5. In the Port Name dialog box, type \\computer name\printer name, and then click Click Add a printer.
   
6. Complete the rest of the wizard, and then click Finish..

Now you would be able to print from other PC also.
