    No sound with HDMI cable

    Hi there.

    I bought new gaming PC with an Asus EAH4870X2 graphics card. I've been using the PC with the PC XVGA on my LCD TV and it works great. I got an HDMI cable and connected the PC to the TV via the DVI-HDMI adapter and my HDMI cable, and I can get video to display on the TV, but there is no audio to be heard. From what I can tell in the Windows Device Manager there are drivers installed for the onboard HDMI sound device, but I don't know much beyond that. Has anyone know what the issue could be so I could resolve it.

    I use the audio supplied by my motherboard P5N72-T PREMIUM connected to home theater system & my monitor is now my BRAVIA 50" 1080p HDTV all no problems. You could use the supplied component out cable and use the RCA out L&R. DVI connection does NOT supply audio. I'm just guessing really. .

    You should hear 8 channel (7.1) audio from your card. And this card CAN output sound via HDMI.

    DVI never supports audio .. if you use a converter .... thats of no use.... there is no pin assignment from dvi to output Sound .... its a bad trial.
