    Issue with Logitech's SetPoint

Got a Logitech Cordless LX710 laser for Xmas. Hooked it up to my Windows Xp; the keyboard and mouse both work in basic mode.
I than used the included disk to install the software. Everything went smoothly; or appeared so. Went to run "SetPoint Ver 3.3 " the included program to configure my keyboard and mouse. Immediately got an error message that " This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling may fix the problem".
Downloaded Logitech's latest Ver 4.7 and encountered the same problem.
Contacted Logitech; and after trying all their suggestions/workarounds; had the same problem
Logitech than sent me a new keyboard and mouse hoping that would fix the problem. It didn't!
Any suggestions; or is there another program that could be used to configure the keyboard and mouse.

This can happen when compilation is run on machines that are missing the Visual C++ 2005 runtime environment redistributable. IncrediBuild should in pricinple install this package, but in some conditions (in particular on machines that were running beta versions of 2.50 before) the installation may have been incomplete.

Steps required to fix this problem: You should be able to fix this by running the file "VCRedist.exe" from the IncrediBuild installation folder on machines generating this error.

    Hope this helps you.
    Regards,

In my humble opinion; me thinks this has nothing to do with the keyboard and mouse software that I am trying to install.
