Problem with computer sound

I'm unable to hear a sound from my pc. Little while ago, i have formatted my pc and just completed installing drivers that includes sound drive in it. Just now i connected my speakers to the pc, but was unable to hear any sound from the speakers. May any one help me out with this problem?

I guess that you might be using WIndows XP.

If so then follow these steps:-

1. Click 'Start'

2. Open 'Control Panel'

3. Open 'System'

4. Click Hardware Tab

5. Click 'Device Manager'

Can you see any of the icons showing with yellow circles or black exclamation marks on it?

Hey even i was facing the same problem, then i tried to do something like this and it worked for me. You can also do the same thing, you have to follow these steps.

First go to your Start Menu and then click on Control Panel. Then click on Sound and Audio Devices. See that whether it's switch on?

If you still face the same problem then try to run any anti virus guard on your system which may allow your system to prevent from any computer attack.

I think you should run XP under Safe Mode and see whether you still face the same problem. Safe Mode reverts back to basic version of XP, which has a default settings and is very useful in diagnosing problems such as your setup, settings etc. I think it will really work for you.
