Which ASUS Xonar Sound Card should i get?

Hi guys.

I'm currently using my Intel 950 Onboard VGA. Soon, Ill receive my FHD LCD, which supports 24p. im using Vista, analog 2.1 speakers.

now,
If i get the sonar HDAV1.3, will it work, displaying my HD desktop\movies, just at the same quality it would on any ATI\nVidia card?

and if it wont, would a Xonar D2 (only Audio output) + HDMI capable ATI\nVidia better suit my demands?

Last question is how come the 24p thing isn't mentioned at the official asus product page? and can ATI\nVidia HDMI capable cards do that?

It just passes through the video signal from the original card (except when using Splendid).

Yes. If you just want to get sound through HDMI (i.e., if you don't use the analog outputs), you don't even need the D2 (most ATI and Intel chipsets have their own sound device for HDMI sound).

Because 24p isn't supported by the HDAV1.3.
