Hard drive choice

I'll buy a new PC in a very short time. It is a very good configuration but I can not decide for choosing the hard drive and would like your help and your advice. For the HDD I have a budget of more than Rs. 26,000. I am thinking to buy two 150 GB Velociraptor and put them in raid 0. But someone already advise me Samsung F1 1TB or Barracuda Seagate 500GB. So I could not actually decide which is better for me. I'm looking for a hard drive of about 300 GB, very fast in opening files, games and loads of copies of discs. Can anyone help me to achieve my task?

If you want faster than the Velociraptor, then go for a SSD. The Mtron 3500 are very good, but Rs. 26,000 would not be enough for that.

Otherwise you can take cheaper SSD's but less efficient. If you go for 1 hard drive (may be 64GB, ideal for putting the operating system) and a 500GB of F1 then you will have impressive speed.

For SSD, I do not know too much about it and how does it work. So I finally think it is like normal HDD. Do you think 64GB would offer me my task?

The SSD is the same as on hard disks. It is a dream going up to the speeds of readers 1000MB/s.
