High Access time in Dell new AAM WD

I have a new WD6400AAKS in Hard Disk has an access time of 17.5 ms, and it seems to me a somewhat high. It is probably guilty may be because of dell AAM activated. How can I disable the AAM on the drive? i need those extra 4ms .. assuming its enabled. Please suggest me where should I check and how the program off / active? Here WD is Western Digital's this may help in giving me best possible answer.

    Thanks in Advance!

You can use hddscan well. Go to tasks-> IDE features-> AAM.
Take it to 254 or disable it (better yet)

I thought there was some utility WD (as Data LifeGuard Tools or Data LifeGuard Diagnostics) fit for purpose. Use a utility official if there is one that allows the operation.
    Hddscan only does it?
