Sorry if I'm in the wrong section but I did not know where poster

This is my little question I'd like to change the keyboard and mouse as well as speakers, my PC is a pack Philips (so everything is Philips), so if I buy a new mouse and keyboard how does the connection ?
I run on XP Pro.
