I bought a SATA HDD 250 GB with my friend. However my motherboard only supports ATA HDD, so I bought a SATA controller card with no name. The card is a simple model that offers just 2 internal SATA ports (no RAID or other ...).
Once the cards and drivers are installed, Windows XP sp3 do not recognizes it. As soon as I try to connect the SATA HDD on one or the other 2 ports, Windows does not respond. Yet the HDD is running. I tried another PCI slot, no success.
Are there any other connections to be made on a SATA HDD and SATA cable?
