Need advice for a new configuration

I will soon begin to change some parts on my PC. Although they have never done, I will try to mount any myself. I am interested for my config primarily to run the latest games.

Here is my current config:

- Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2992Mhz)
- Motherboard: Micro ATX NEC COMPUTERS INTERNATIONAL GA-8I915PM
- RAM: 2 x 512 MB
- Graphics: ATI Radeon X300 (PCIE) 256 MB

Also thinking of to change the psu too. Currently, I have a power of 450 W.

I'd like to change the motherboard, processor, graphics card and move to 2GB of RAM. I try not to change the box. My budget very small about Rs. 25000.

Could you give us the examples of games which you will play? Would you overclock your PC? This will help you to gain some extra (around 10 or 15%) in the performance.

For overclock, I am not interested in that (I may be little afraid ...). For games, I think FarCry2, Grid or Call of Duty and also games like GTA IV etc.

Re: Need advice for a new configuration

Well configuration with just Rs. 25000, you will always be fairly close to the minimum configurations (especially with games like Crysis and FarCry2). Yeah I am right, you will not be in the middle range but just above the low end.

I wonder if you have an interest in changing processor with the budget that you have. I do not know if you will have significant gains in games compared to the prices that you want to. Your processor is not "crap" if you will. And I doubt that a processor within 5000 makes a big difference in performance.

In the end, I advise you to take 1 or 2 GB of RAM (DDR 2) and take a proper graphics card.

Some suggestion:
- 2x 1GB of RAM and ATI HD 4670
- Intel E5200, 2x 1GB of RAM and ATI HD 4670
