    Hard drive gives noises

I have problems with my hard disk. I dropped my hard drive (320GB) from about 30 cm. It was attached to USB box and a cushion. But when I started it, it started giving me noise. The noise comes from the hard drive and not the box (I stuck my ear). Windows does not detect my hard disk in the "Disk Management" of the job. Is it possible that this is a problem of electronics hard drive? What should I do?

It looks like you are trying to communicate with your hard drive. Just remove the cabinet and try a different disc in order to see if the box is not at all faulty.

Just take the back up of your data. I am saying so because your hard drive has or will die very soon. Generally hardware peripherals are very delicate and and so it should be handled with care.
