Problem cloning SSD card

To replace my SSD by a faster and higher capacity, I "clone" my card SSD 8 GB with HDClone. The copy has been made on a SD HC GB. Unfortunately, after this, my 16-GB card does not show me more than 7.5. Even formatting does not allow me to recover the 16 GB. How?

When you format, in the "capacity" (the very top of the window formatting), you can not choose other than 7.5 GB?

Thanks for your immediate response. But formatting windows does not allow choice of capacity, only 7.5.

It is clear that when cloning a hard drive on another hard disk; it is similar one for USB sticks, the 2 must have the same size!
