SATA hard drive disappears in startup on Windows XP

My problem is that my 250 GB SATA hard drive disappears in startup under Windows XP. I restarted and also done a lot of testing but didn't solved my problem either. If you have a small idea then please advise me.

It could be some kind of virus at the BIOS. However you can boot in command prompt and type: fdisk / mbr

Could be some kind of connection problems (especially of cables). Check if you do not have any loose connections inside your case.
