My hard drive resizing 160GB now is 35GB

hello,
I have a samsung 160GB 7200rpm hard drive, which is now recognized by the administrator as a hard disk of 35GB and will not let me access to him, I format only the partition magic came to recognize 160 gb but will not let me access it found errors ....in the setup also recognizes it as a disk 35, I think the failure was due to an adapter ide to usb disk that apparently was crossed,,, or something like that,,, after each use the disc is scouring ...
I wish someone guide me to regain my size disc and I recommend that tools can use, for now I'm recovering my data files that were mpg for nearly 30 minutes for a change but none of them can be played .... I hope someone can help me Thanks.

Note that it is anti-samsung but the truth is that apart from recovering the files you should take the proposal to buy a new hard disk of another brand. As to recognize what the size of your disk, you should mention that before you use OS, Windows XP if you go to My Computer, right click on the icon of the hard drive, click on properties, on the tab of Tools "There is an option to" Check Now ", select one or two options, if you choose the second option (either with or without the first one) asks you to reboot the computer (if not bad memory), and once want to boot XP again examine your hard drive, with that should be solved your problem. Otherwise with the same partition magic you can browse the disk errors, just not remember very well how. i expect early positive response from you .

Had already tried these alternatives, was the first thing I did, but nothing, that's why I say that the manager recognizes discs but does not allow me to access, just wanting to check mistakes, nothing, I've tried in different pc with different social Windows XP, Windows 2003, as I have on hand and nothing the board always gives me the size of 35 ..The partition magic comes to recognize the size of 160 but also allows me to do anything, I refused access.

Buscate the Toolkit to offer you on the official website of samsung, is a small program that detects errors and low-level formatting, you only need a floppy disk, start it and you create a boot disk and just start from that disk. Our hope is that this is solved your problem, but you should know that sometimes takes too long to find errors on the disc. Page of Samsung, the deposit model and ready.

My recommendation is the placement of jumpers, after making this into the bios to set the size of your hard disk or leave it as automatic so that this does not happen.
