Background noise on EMU 0202 USB

    Hello,

I have my MacBook gegönnt an external sound card. Unfortunately, I have always been a background noise on the speakers, which most integrated sound output does not exist.

If I use the USB sound card to my PC I incidentally the same noise.

Who has any idea what could I do?

    Thank you in advance

you have the whole controller at the emu to 0 shot? you can use the software in the mixer inputs mute, especially "mic"?
try the ground lift switch to switch off the bottom.
which excludes the thou audio output to the emu?

So the controls are all at 0 (are anyway only for microphone inputs), in the mixer I've ever asked anything on mute (same result) and Ground Lift switch bring nothing unfortunately.

Did the sound card in my tube-amp, and at a Harman AVR-4550 tried. Throughout this noise once the device on the Mac or Vista is detected.

    Who still has no idea?

That reminds me, that the MacBook Air a higher voltage on the USB port, so that the external drive to work. Could a defect in the EMU have produced?

    A higher voltage?

Do you think that perhaps a higher power delivery capability?

Now times since USB is a standard, I do not think that because something happens.

Where the noise comes from, remains an enigma. According to measurements should not happen. Not to return.

Apple fails with the Air unfortunately against the USB standard. But this is unfortunately not the problem, since I now had a second chance to try 0202. With the same result on the PC.

I really do not know more what I do ... ( On normal sound output works )
