I just had a new battery for my laptop (Toshiba A100), I've tried ... but for now I do not want to leave connected to win in his lifetime.

My problem is I do not know if I let a responsible 100%, 50% or completely unload.

Warning: lithium ion battery typically has a BMS (manager dependent, in some big chips that store the charge and serve as a circuit breaker in case of discharge / recharge too strong / important).

The BMS consumes power. Very slightly but certainly enough to unload a full battery between 1 and 6 months. DO NOT discharge a lithium ion battery completely: it is irretrievably damaged and in extreme cases do not come back at all to life.

So take it into account during storage: Do not use a battery to 40% for too long (seen little by little it will unload).
