Logitech has unveiled a new universal remote, the Harmony 510 Advanced Universal Remote, which has positioned itself as entry of the Family Harmony.
Introducing layout and ergonomics close to its sister Harmony 550, this remote has advanced features, a monochrome LCD screen, 45 buttons and can control various devices 5.
Its configuration is done by connecting to a computer using a USB cable and through a software identifying thousands of devices. It can replace the 5 remotes with which he must juggle sometimes, those of TV, home theater amplifier, decoder, DVD player or the media center for example. It is also possible to control multiple televisions in different rooms. The programming software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Mac OS X.
It is already available across the Atlantic at a recommended retail price of $ 100 and should settle on European shelves soon. The model immediately above, the Harmony 525, currently trades around 55 euros in some countries.
