CPU fan problem

Hi,
I got this 'CPUFAN does not function correctly' messege on startup with a loude beep sound. The computer then shuts down. What could be the problem?

Have you installed any new hardware?
What you can do is open your motherboard manal & see what the beep sound indicated in it!

No new hardware added & i don't have the manual for the motherboard too.
What can be the reason behind the screen message about the fan?

bios control the CPU temperature there must be some settings to control overheating. wich matherboard you use?

maybe u have connected thecpu fan to the wrong pin , its just near ro the cpu on far edge of the motherboard , check them??
