UPS doesn't work's with windows 98

Hi,

I have a problem, I have a ups but I just work well with Windows XP, but when I install a Windows machine 98, it shuts off when it starts charging. I would like to know what is happening and that I can do to solve the problem.

I would appreciate any help.

..... tried to change in the Control Panel - How to Save Energy.
Checked that point, I went through something similar for some time.

Thanks for the idea, but the windows 98 does not offer me more alternative configuration in the state of energy.

..... configures the shutdown, suspend and avoids any kind of suspension of disks, monitor, and so on.
