Sound problem

I am running Windows XP Pro with 2GB RAM and Onboard sound card on my computer. I am having sound problem. I updated the driver but still no luck. What is the cause of this problem?

Is this your new build? Which SP are you using? Make sure your OS supports your sound driver.

No its not new build but a year old one and running SP2 since then. My OS should support because it was working fine before and I am having this issue since few days before.

Done any overclocking or any type of tweaking which went wrong? Why don't you install SP3 and see if you are still facing the problem?

Installed SP3 but still the same issue. Also uninstalled and reinstalled the sound driver but that too didn't fixed the issue.
