sad Microsoft Wireless Optical Notebook 3000 mouse not working with Vista

    Hi,

I purchased Microsoft Wireless Optical Notebook 3000, and connected to my Toshiba satellite laptop (Series A205-S804), Laptop has windows home premium.

as soon as I connect to Transceiver to the USB port I get icon "Found new hardware", then vista tries to install the driver. After few seconds I get the message the driver installation failed "The driver file for this device is missing important entry. The INF file must be written for the microsft windows 95 or later"

Mouse works with my other laptop IBM T42 which windows xp installed on it.
I tried the same mouse on my friend's Dell laptop which have Vista home basic installed it works on his laptop.

Only difference I notice between the three laptops is IBM and Dell laptops have Bluetooth installed within the laptop and Toshiba laptop doesnot have one.

I tried call Microsoft support, they say the mouse is bad or broken

Can anybody please help me with this

    Regards,
    RK
