    No Sound From My Speakers

I have Polk audio speakers on my computer. They were working before but for some reason they just stopped working. I don't know if someone accidentally deleted something or what. Any type of help appreciated.

    About my PC:

    Windows XP Professional computer
    version 2002
    Serial number? 76488-014-4464802-22115

Check to see if it is connected to the computer or not? Also try to reinstall the drivers for the sound card from the CD that came with your motherboard.

Try some basic steps first. Did you updated the drivers? First uninstall the current drivers and reinstall the new one and check. If you are still having the problem then check the audio cable. If still then check the settings for audio either on Volume Control or if you are using some sound card.

The speakers are connected. I checked the device manager. There is a yellow question mark next to something that says multimedia audio controller.

The yellow "!" mark beside the 'Multimedia audio controller' itself denotes that there is some problem with the drivers of that sound card. You just follow the steps as Fabian said. Uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, i think, will solve your problem easily.

Visit the website and search for latest drivers. Download and install them.

Well i would say you must download the driver compatible to your operating system i.e. win XP Pro as you said & install it.
If you don't know how to uninstall and reinstall the drivers ask any friend who can guide you through this!
You can do this from the control panel - add remove program.
There are some professional software's also available if you want, all you need to do is install the software & it will scan your computer & detect the missing drivers & download itself over the Internet & install them for you. All you need to do is follow the steps!
But you need to pay for such programs!
I can tell you such programs if you need?
