New built gives me the black screen

Hello
I just built my new PC. Connected all the parts When i hit the power key it asked me for the disk so i put the XP disk in. I got a blue screen saying some Error 7 on it & saying push any button to Enter or exit. Hitting the enter key the screen went black. I turned PC off. Anyone know what is this error 7?

Your motherboard came with any driver CD? or any card attached on the PCI slot?

How can i install any drivers until the OS is installed?

Hey my asus motherboard came with disk of drivers for the motherboard, and the drivers were installed before the OS installation just after the jumper settings. Its not necessory to have your OS installed first for the motherboard driver cd.
