New build for Video Editing & some gaming

My friend intends to use a machine primarily for editing with Adobe Premiere, but it should preferably be able to handle After Effects pretty well along with 3D apps and perhaps a little gaming. Now he already has hard drives, optical drives & a generic ATX case.
Following is my selection for him
    Q6600
    Asus p5b
    4x1GB RAM DDR2
512MB Palit 9600GT Sonic GFX card
    850W PSU
I am a bit concern about the ram, can you suggest me for this machine?
    Thanks

I think your built is quite OK to satisfy the requirement.
    All the Best!

About the RAM you can also combine 2x2GB ram will give you scope for further upgradation. Corsair & OCZ are the good brands. For max results you need 64bit XP, 32bit XP wont be better.
