Help to use new harddrive on vista 64

I am running Windows Vista Business 64 on my PC with an IDE harddrive on it. I want to put a new drive in my pc that contains all my music collection. I inserted the drive. My pc can see it through Disk Management but not through My Computer.

What is problem? How can I use it as normal? Pls help.

What type of drive is it? FAT32 or NTFS? Also, how is it connected? USB or IDE cable?

I don't know its type. I am not able to see its type as it is not viewable in My Computer. And it is connected though IDE cable and I made it as slave.

Right-Click on Disk Manager and see if the partition is marked 'Active' or not. If it is not then mark it. Because that could probably be the reason for this problem.
