    upgrading my old computer

well this the time of me to give my computer a upgrade
My old computer:IT is overclocked Athlon running at 2.2 GHz. with 512MB of RAM that has been with me since last 5 years, i have put a lot of effort in this PC build ,so i just want to upgrade it a little as my budget is also low i would prefer a RAM, mobo, video card , and a processor. Im not in to gaming so i think that video is just for my photography, it should run Photoshop CS3 and possibly Lightroom

    RAM 2GB(2x1GB) (PC2-5300, 667MHZ)
ASUS P5KC LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
    Graphics : GeForce FX 5500
    CPU Core2Quad Pro Q6600 2.4GHz

what you guys think , i should be going for overclocking?
im going for the windows vista pro or Xp pro, is it better to go with 64bit OS because of the 2GB ram and to fully utilise the Core2 processors.

What current PCU you use in your old pc ?
If it is old then 5 years i think you need a new PSU, things have change now you can get the new PSU has 80% efficient power supplies and save heat .

im think of relapsing this PSU and should get a new one because i cant allow it to work on 24 pin motherboards!

i think you should go with the 4GB RAM

is it better to go with 64bit OS because of the 2GB ram
you should get a 64-bit OS XP has a limitation in that it can only address 4 GB of RAM so you better need a 64-BIT

I have HP Pavilion 250 Watt power supply 20 pin unit,
suggest you to buy all new PSU

note : the newer system will need more cooling, and you may have to bring in the full set of fans.
