IS my PC configuration enough for my needs?

Very first i play few games & run applications like VB, coral draw, some audio video editing tools etc.
My OS is Windows Vista Home Basic Edition.
E2180 2GHz
2GB RAM
320 GB SATA HDD.

According to me there should not be any problem meeting your need.
Just be clear with your audio video programs. 2GB of RAM is Lot better than 1GB.The configuration you have is a lot better for multitasking & gaming at higher resolution.
