How to find a Low Budget Big Screen Android Smartphone

Android has given an open ground to many manufacturers for giving out their best device. Before that we all know how a mobile looks like. People emphasis more on the design, but about the internal OS no one was so interested. Primary features like Multimedia, Internet Surfing, Internal Storage, etc were the only matter of discussion. Now the scene is different. People are more curious about the screen size, multi-tasking, gaming, video resolution, HD, etc. Leaving those dark outdated UI back, Android has not only changes the UI but also brought an up a new revolution that gave birth to Smartphone’s. A device which much better than a regular mobile phone. Today we can do many things in our device. Almost anything that we do on your pc is now possible on a Smartphone. In this guide we are going to find out the crucial points require to locate a widescreen Budget Android mobile. Big screen has great benefits. You have to more space to read, you can view a page more easily, your pictures are better and video viewing is just amazing. Leaving the costly devices aside which are obviously the best, in this guide we will target only budget models. My motive is to provide you assistance in terms of screen and reasonable hardware config. So that the device can also be good with usage.

Almost all Big Screen size phones are costly. Like the latest one is Galaxy Note 3. It is the one of the best phone that comes loaded with high hardware config. You can just run any HD game on it. Powered by Quad Core process, 3GB ram and a good gpu makes it really awesome. But it remains out of budget. The cost of this device is near to a gaming laptop. I did not found it reasonable to buy. First we will be with certain points to locate a good widescreen phone in the market. This is for those who do not like any models below. You can search the web on your own. But it is necessary that you must go with certain points to that you do not buy a dumb big size phone which looks only great for reading purpose. The overall performance also matters. Most of the Android phones are powered by Dual Core processor and 512MB ram minimum. This adds more to the multi-tasking and help in gaming. The below listed models are budget phones. Expecting too much from them is not fare. I had taken this device under multimedia, multi-tasking and average gaming performance. The list is not really long. We will first checkout some important points to choose a Budget Widescreen Android Smartphone.

    Screen Size and Technology:

Smartphone above 5inch display are counted as widescreen size phone. But going for 4.5inch is not bad also. Devices like Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Mega, Sony Xperia Z, etc are quiet bigger. They are high end devices. And so they are costly. But in terms of budget it is necessary to properly check what the manufacturer is offering. There are different screen type used, offering a brighter and sharper output. Like TFT, LCD, OLED, AMOLED, Retina, IPS,. Capacitive Touch screen, etc. Also there are different screen technologies used which impact on the maximum screen resolution. Like qHD, OGS, WVGA, FWVGA, IPS, etc. Here qHD offer you 960x540 pixel of maximum resolution. High pixel means clearer screen. It offers you a quarter part of full HD resolution (1920x1080). OGS is a Screen Touch Sensor Technology. Screen with WVGA are capable of offering you 800x480 pixel resolutions at an aspect ratio of 5:3 and bit more on 16:9. And at last FWVGA offers you 854x480 resolutions on 16:9 aspect ratios. Ideal for big size phone giving out less blurry screen output. We are going to checkout each of them so that in future it will be easier for you to know which type of display offer what. And also it will be easier to differentiate among different kind of displays.

Re: How to find a Low Budget Big Screen Android Smartphone

    Type of Display:

LCD: This is a bit outdated but still used in many Smartphone. It does not provide you any special technology but it is the cheaper display type. The benefit of LCD is that it is low on power usage. And the image quality is good. More pixels mean more clarity. TFT is just another part of LCD display. Most of the mobile screens are building upon LCD with additional technologies. Like TFT-LCD, IPS-LCD, etc.

TFT: This is the most common type of display available. It is capable of giving you good viewing quality and high resolution. TFT is better than LCD. This display specializes in giving great viewing angle and clear display under sunlight. The problem with big size TFT screen is that they consume more power. They are heavy on battery usage. Devices that come with TFT display are cheaper compare to others.

OLED: OLED is much better compare to a regular TFT-LCD display. It is also widely used on widescreen TV and Monitors. It is a budget friendly display type that offers amazing sharpness, high brightness and very thin design. It has a great response time and widescreen viewing angle. Compare to others it is brighter due to which the screen output is enhanced in terms of multimedia. This display does not require a backlight. They work on their own due to which you get a more improved viewing angle. There is blackish issue from any side. They get damage easily through liquid.

AMOLED: This is an enhanced version of OLED. It is widely used in many Smartphone’s. Manufacturer’s like Samsung even came up with a device that has a Super AMOLED display. Compare to OLED is better. It offers more vibrant screen and thinner design. It is capable of offering you a 170degree of viewing angle. It is widely used because of its low battery usage ability. It remains light on the phone power consumption and gives sharp and bright screen output. Devices having AMOLED display are costly.

IPS: IPS offers more better viewing angles compare to others. It also great in color reproduction. The screen output is much better here. It is clear and sharp with high brightness. Most of the high end Smartphone comes with IPS display only. It is great for gaming and multimedia.

Retina: Widely used in Apple devices. It is build on IPS LCD and supported by LED Backlit. Apple has comprised some different technologies in the display offering you a much brighter and advance display. This kind of displays is capable of producing high resolution with super sharp screen.

Capacitive Touch Screen: This one is the most common type of display you might have heard in different devices. Most of the budget phones come with Capacitive Touch screen display. This type of display works on touch. That means when you touch the screen, the sensor reads the blocked light. It is very complicated to use stylus on this. The touch screen works well when used with fingers.

Best Big Screen Budget Android Phone:

Now we will move ahead with the final list of devices which offer good screen size. Most of them are 5inch but some are below. I had not considered devices below 4.5inch. For a decent multi-media output you would atleast need around 5inch. Some are bigger than that. There are devices with more than 5.7inch screen size but they land into the list of high end devices.
