| How to Fix Risen 2: Dark Waters Crashing, No Sound, Poor FPS, Black Screen, Errors
First solution: Disable all unnecessary background applications before launching game: to disable unnecessary background applications you need to go these steps: From the Start menu, choose All Programs, then Accessories. Choose Run. A Run window (command prompt) appears. Type msconfig in the Open field and choose OK. If Windows needs your permission to continue, choose Continue. The System Configuration Utility appears. Choose the General tab and Choose the Choose selective Startup option, then make uncheck Load Startup Items checkbox. Now go to the Choose the Services tab and after that make check mark on Verify that Hide All Microsoft Services checkbox and after that make choose on disable all button. Now once you done just save all setting and during this time you’ll ask to restart system, choose yes. Second Solution: remove the all temp files from your system. You can remove all temp file through Disk Cleanup. To run Disk Cleanup you can go through these steps: To open Disk Cleanup, choose Start, choose All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then Disk Cleanup. In the Options dialog box Disk Cleanup, select whether you want to clean from your files only, or among those of all computer users. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, provide the password or provide confirmation. If the dialog box Disk Cleanup: Drive Selection screen appears, select the drive you want to clean and choose OK. Choose the Disk Cleanup tab, and then select the check boxes for file types you want to delete. Once you are done, choose OK, and then choose Delete Files to confirm the operation. The Disk Cleanup tool is running to eliminate all unnecessary files from your computer. Once you done this just reboot the system for best result. Third Solution: disable all antivirus, antivirus other security software may be conflict with your game and so therefore its necessary to disable firewall and antivirus on your system. Fourth Solution: Download and install the latest version of your DirectX from Official site (or click here to download latest version of DirectX). Fifth Solution: Try to update your Graphic Card Drivers latest version and after that you can solve your issue. For NVidia Graphic Card user try to download and install driver from NVidia Latest Driver Version and for AMD (ATI) Graphic Cards try to download and install latest driver from AMD Catalyst. Sixth Solution: if you not able to solve your issue after installing latest version of video card driver then I would like recommend you to roll back video card by downloading an earlier version of your video card’s current driver. Seventh Solution: If your machine using multi-core processor, then try to disable them and this will really help you to solve your issue. Eighth Solution: If above solution not working then try to disable and enable the 3GB switch and this has been helped me to solve my issue. To enable the 3GB switch on Windows Vista or Windows 7: open command prompt through press windows key and R key from keyboard, now you will get run application and under that type: cmd, then click on ok button. Now in command prompt type: bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072 \and after that reboots the system. To disable the 3GB switch: open command prompt as said above and then type: bcdedit /deletevalue IncreaseUserVa and after that reboot the system for best result. Some general steps to fix mostly Crashes and Errors: To play latest game you need to latest version of DirectX and graphics drivers installed, so therefore make sure your system installed with latest version of DirectX and graphics drivers. If you’re using windows 7 or windows vista then I would like to suggest you to disable the UAC. To disable UAC you need to go these steps: in windows 7 Open the "Start" and after that go to search. Now in search type: UAC and after that make click on ok button. Now result makes open the Modify User Account Control (UAC). By changing the position of the slider please choose the required degree of protection, guided by the description on the right side of the screen (i recommend the level of "Notify me only when programs try to make changes to your computer"). To disable UAC slider to move to a lower level of "Never notify" and Click OK to save the settings and reboot. In windows vista go through this steps: Open the Start, Control Panel , User Accounts , Enable or disable the UAC (UAC) , Uncheck the option "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer, Click OK to save the settings and finally Restart the computer. The UAC (User Account Control UAC) can help prevent unauthorized changes to your computer. Are changes to the computer that require administrator privileges, you will be notified by the UAC. Such changes may affect the safety of your computer or have an impact on preferences for other users of the computer. |
