Dead Island combines first-person action with a heavy focus on melee combat, character development and customization of a vast array of weapons. All of these gameplay features presented in a dark story inspired by classic zombie movies with a gritty and engrossing campaign that can be played with up to 4 players in co-op mode.

Game Plot :

I had taken maximum information on gameplot and story from the official website to explain the same in better way. The reason for the same is that, the official website can simply explain the game plot much better. This helps a lot at the time of playing. The player is drawn into the world of Dead Island on the brink of a mysterious epidemic that suddenly, and without warning, breaks out on the fictional island of Banoi. As a guest of the Royal Palms Resort, the player's stay was supposed to be a dream holiday; a luxurious getaway to the beautiful beaches of a tropical paradise. But faced with the reality of a zombie apocalypse, there is only one thing left to do: Survive. This is Dead Island... a paradise to die for. Players reside in Royal Palms Resort of Banoi. The place of action.

Game Characters :

Xian Mei : Xian Mei is an employee at the Royal Palm Resort, born and raised in China, she chose an occupation that allowed her to leave her country of birth in order to experience different people and cultures - Banoi is her first placement outside of her homeland. She is a fast learner, intelligent, and also - as a passionate sportswoman - quick on her feet. Having just arrived at the island, Xian Mei was responsible for a myriad of menial tasks at the hotel, before starting work as a receptionist. This opportunity to meet and greet all the different nationalities that visited the hotel was ideal for Xian Mei, as it provided a perfect source of inspiration for her dreams of travelling the globe. That is of course, before suddenly the world around her begins to crumble...

Sam B : A one-hit-wonder rap star of fading fame, Sam B was booked by the Royal Palms Resort Hotel to perform his well known song "Who do You Voodoo?" at a high profile hotel party. He gladly took the chance to play this gig. Once strong, self-confident and proud, Sam B has had a troubled past and a history of drug and alcohol abuse, as his private life became caught in a haze of fake friends and bad advisors. Trying to pick up the pieces and earn some extra cash, he suddenly finds himself surrounded by a whole lot of different problems...

Logan : A former American football star, spoiled by life and successful in every possible way, Logan's ego finally put an end to his bright future. Taking part in a reckless street race with tragic consequences, Logan not only killed a young woman - his unfortunate passenger; he also fractured his knee, putting an end to his sports career. His fall from stardom inevitably followed and he plunged swiftly into a life of bitterness and despair. In an attempt to get away from the demons hunting him, he gladly takes the chance to experience the beauties and wonders of Banoi. Soon enough though the getaway he was dreaming about turns into a real life nightmare...

Purna : Purna is a former officer of the Sydney Police department. After losing her career when she killed a child molester who could not be touched legally because of his wealth and connections, Purna then turned to working as a bodyguard for VIPs in dangerous places all over the world. She is hired not just for her skills but her looks as wealthy men did not mind showing up with Purna on their arm.

Enemies

Walkers : Most common zombie attackers. To kill them move a bit back and hit.

Infected : They scream and run towards to kill. Once they charge on you, dodge to skip the attack.

Thugs : Tall zombies with more power to hit you. They charge to you. Hit on the head.

Suiciders : Very disgusting looking body. They charge to you an explode. Use gas canister to kill them.

RAM : Most powerful zombie. Hit from backside.

Floaters : Toxic zombies. Use your guns to kill them.

Butcher : Very dangerous. Mostly found in Jungle. Use Guns and knife

Walkthrough

The below walkthrough will guide you for the entire gameplay. Basically I used the most exact points in order to avoid a very lengthy walkthrough. Along with this you have more information related to basic updates and controls. Mostly this guide is helpful for all you are playing Dead Island on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Dead Island begins with a fiction island Banoi. It is a small paradise located in the South Pacific. Royal Palms Resort is the ultimate place here for those who come for holiday on the island and enjoy sun. This simply make you remember for more common stories that you find in many horror movies, where some people travels to an distant place where there is no way out. It is a perfect set to the mood.

The pictures changes as the madness rise by zombie attack and chaos uproars. The zombie outbreaks are contagious can effect anyone and destroy the peaceful atmosphere. You are in alien location where no one for help and completely cut off from other connection. Those strangers who are not yet a zombie are in the fight of survival. They too protect other survivors form the island. The game has nice gameplay and a different look this time which will surely horrify you.

Chapter 1

Game begins with a short introduction to the island. There certain tips that you can use. These tricks will also help in between the game. The first thing is going easy with controls. You have to pick up certain stuff. You can use the radar for the same to reach those things. You begin with a room in the hotel. Collect certain stuff from the room and move further. Follow the radar for direction. There some cash located below TV. Go down by following the indication on Radar. The first steps are just to get proper control on your mouse or joystick like controlling the door knob to pass on the other room.

You have to move in the room to search for items that are indicated under your objective. You can see a lobby which follows the hall. There are number of suitcase loaded up. Use the radar to locate the right door for your. You have to collect cash in this case to increase your inventory. Collect as much cash you can because this is going to help you further to buy for items. As you keep moving you must carry a stick with you incase you encounter any zombie. You will also find a card which you have to take back to Sinamoi. A cutscene will tell you about the survivors. You have to leave fast here and this is the time of action. You can easily kick zombies down and blow their head. More money can be found from the bodies of Zombie.

Anyhow you will have to make a way to lifeguard tower. Survivors will be following you. With the help of cards you can unlock the gates and then move. In the mean way you will encounter many zombies. So better use whatever you can find. You can throw large canister to the hoard of zombies. As the time passes it will become darker. So your first task here is to light the torch on Lifeguard Tower. Or else the gameplay will become tougher. Quickly make your way to the Lifeguard Tower. There are energy boosters you can find on the island and on various parts. So keep your eye open for the same.

As you came out you have to go upward to the stairs. There are more zombies inside. Kill them all collect money. There are certain blue prints located in specific parts only. Look at them to collect more weapons. Once you are done with this you have to go back to Sinamoi.

Chapter 2

As the Sinamoi part is ended then the first job you have to do is search for energy boosters. Drink them to get your full health. Go down. A new mission begins here. This mission is to collect all the parts of your car. Watch carefully on area around you. More Zombies will attack you. You have to find 4 parts here to finish the first task of level. Look for Ambulance. That is the first place to get upgrades. Once you find all the car parts in the area you have to reach Mike. As you move inside you can find Jack. Help to get in the office and he will give you new quest.

Now with your car move towards the live tower. There are some people inside. Talk to them and then move back to James. All will not talk, you will have to keep moving to each people to finish this task. As you finish your conversation with James, then you have to help some people in that Lighthouse and then you have to go back to Darwin. Darvin will give you a job to deliver a pipe to Marcus. You have to use the map to locate the place of Marcus. As you reach near, you will attacked by Zombies. Kill them all and reach Marcus.

As this is done, take your car and you can find a hut. This is a kind of old beach house. Get out you car move down. Go the below hill you can see an other car standing where you will find Jessica. Jump in that car and you will find two new characters here Jessica and Rodger. Talk to them. Now your lighthouse mission begins here. Move the to the safe house and watch the Zombies. Kill them all. Suddenly you can see alarm ringing you have to stop it by turning off the switches and then moving back to Marcus and then you have to meet Jessica end up this mission. Last you have to reach back to Darvin Back to end this chapter.

Now you enter in the second part of this chapter. You have to move to the petrol station from here. And there you can find Dan. After your words with him you have look for an ladder which will take you up and there you can find some energy drinks and weapons. Go back to the petrol station. Remember the zombies can attack you so keep a close watch and then move. Use your car to crush the coming zombies and get rid of them. Search for an petrol canister. You can find that from the garbage and you have to carry this to Mike. Once you are done with this go back to Sinamoi. The mission here is to carry 3 cans of bean to Sinamoi and then search for two crates of juice.

Every crate can be fine in different petrol stations. At the second petrol stations there are zombies. To knock them out you have to from the roof and enter the building by breaking the glass. Collect the juice and put the same in your car. You have to put those juice in the garage and then go back to Sinomoi for upcoming level.

Chapter 3

In this chapter you have to go through the parking area, get a car and collect items for the coming mission. So better collect as much as you can by navigating in that area properly. AS you reach your point you have keep on killing the zombies which will march on you. AS you keep killing your health will loose. So keep collecting stuff which will keep you moving. Those can be weapons or drinks. Now go to the hotel. In the Hotel you will find many things. You can collect lots of cash killing out all zombies. Search Mike and Ken. You can find Ken on the top floor of the hotel. For Ken you have to search morphine which is the medical part. Keep a watch on map for your next location. Every time on your arrival you will face zombies.

Once you are done with Ken’s job then you have to restore the computer firewall so that you can make those computer work. You have to fix them and at the same time zombies will attack. Find for items in that area. Go down. You can see a hoard of zombies attacking you. There is no other way. You will have to pass through between them to reach your car.

Chapter 4

In this chapter after speaking to Sinomoi you have to search for the Helicopter. Now a new type of zombie will attack you here which is called as suicide. He can directly approach you and blow you off. The map will guide you in this level. Now move along the lagoon and find Nikolai. Nikolai will take you further and you have to kill all the zombies that are coming on your way. In the safe house Nikolai will talk to you.

Go back to Sinomoi for a new task. As you accept the task you have to drive to the map location. You can use the car to kill the zombies by crushing them. Once you reach that location go and talk to Earl. This is the place where many zombies will attack you. You have to avoid zombies to enter Earl’s room.

Chapter 5

In this chapter Jin will give you a task. This is the place where you should start repairing your weapons as needed. An location is marked on the map. Drive to that location and make out between zombies. In this chapter Ram will attack you. This is the new zombie with more power and he can easily kick you out. To kill him you have to place the gas canister near him and point and shoot to blow him off. This will be a little bit tough in start but after a few retake you can play it properly.

Go to church and talk to nuns. They are down. The first task here is to turn off the bells. Hit the guard and move further. Now go back and look for Mother Helen. A new task will be provided to you. Look around to carry more weapons. This task need more weapons now. Kill all the zombies here and look for some snacks. They are same like energy booster which will increase your health. Go download and search for Antonio. He can be found towards Control Room. Fix the fire here and beware there will be more zombies. Kill every one of them. Go back to Mother Helen.

Chapter 6

Now this the 6th chapter you are almost a half way further to the game. You have to here find Joseph, and for that you have to move towards sewer. Just go up by using the ladder and turn off the valves. This wills top the water and you can easily make your way back to Joseph. Again when you are done with him go back to the Control room. Activate all the controls needed here to kill an big zombie. You can also hit him hard if you want but only when he is weak. Move your way from the sewers to reach the next chapter.

Chapter 7

Now in this chapter you have to find Mayer. Then go back to Joe. After that find the Policeman. You can find him on the downside. Now when you are done with interacting with this character go back up and then you can find 3 doors. Every room has zombies. Beat them off and collect the money/weapons. There is an repair table which you will have to locate to fix your items.

This will cost you really lone. When your job is done, you are ready back to kill more zombies. Follow the next destination on map. Some more zombies will attack. Do your best beat them off and shoot with guns. Now when all are killed you have to collect some items and put them in your car as you are going to need them afterwards. Go back to the Mayer’s house. Again when you reach Mayer go the sewers. Kill more zombies here, many new powerful zombies will attack you. You have to reach to Mother Helen in last.

Chapter 8

Once when you reach Mother Helen talk to here and try to find Joseph from the map. Again when you are done with Joseph and fought with some zombies you can see a new cut scene there. Go back to Mother Helen just to tell here that Jin is safe. Now you have to go towards Jin. Here you can get some upgrades. Arrive to the restore kill more Zombies and go back to Sinomoi.

Hints, Tips and Cheats :

• Characters in the game will give you more hints. You will have to talk to each of them and then mover further. Whenever you are searching something more properly near to each object.
• To quickly restore your health look for Cola. You can easily locate it in suitcase, in vending machine or sometime it is scattered around the island.
• Repair your weapons on faster rate. Do not repair when there are more damage this will cost you more money.
• By using vehicles you can save many weapons. You can use an Vehicle to kill the zombies and travel fast to the coming levels.

Skills :

• Fury : Efficient and powerful attacks
• Combat : Increase power your weapons
• Survival : Makes you stronger, healthier and luckier.

Skull Location :

• Brown Skull : You can find this in chopper mission. In the second bunker you can find the skull.
• Orange Skull : You can find this in the supermarket. When you pass through the sewer to turn off the steam in the end there is a room. Opposite to that are some stairs. It is located below the stairs.
• Purple Skull : You can find this in the church. Enter the church and look for a high ladder. The purples skull is located in a chest.
