There are lots of points which come in mind when you are planning to upgrade new monitor for your system. It can be a matter of choice for a user to go for an upgrade or to choose an appropriate monitor at the time of purchase. Today it becomes a bit difficult to choose the best one among a large a variety of monitors. There are tons of products with many ranges that differ in size, price, resolution, etc. It is better recommended that you must take a help of buying guide to get more information on your purchase. The first thing which is needed to check is the aspect Ratio. The resolution of LCD displays for PC widescreen used an aspect ratio of 16:10, while LCD TVs / plasma, a ratio of 16:9.

What to look in a monitor:
I believe to go for a higher resolution and widescreen gameplay. The best is to go for 21.5 "or 23" or higher. I had mentioned. They're the best balance between size have / resolution, it gives us the ability to watch movies and all kinds of content that is in "Full HD", or 1920 × 1080. In addition, the price difference between a 21.5 "and one of 20" is almost minimal, usually. And when we consider a 19 "to a 21.5", we have a monitor that does not occupy much space, but give us a much higher resolution.
So if you are looking for a monitor with a perfect balance between size / resolution / price can not go wrong with a 21.5 "that has 1920 × 1080 resolution. If you are looking for something bigger, or are uncomfortable that resolution on a monitor 21.5 "is always the option of 23", with which we see all those glorious pixels at a greater distance. These are the typical specs to read, but do not know what they really mean. So better go for some manual and other view help to get in detail information on the same. The important thing here is, therefore, look for a monitor that has the highest Contrast Ratio (i.e. the number on the left, for example, 10,000:1), but not blindly guided by this information
