Virtua Tennis 4 Walkthrough, Tips and Cheats

We can hope now that with Virtua Tennis 4 will give another good experience and real tennis implemented. But it is really difficult to compete against the recently released and fabulous title Top Spin. The control system is quite simple. As expected, this is based on the use of four buttons to perform the basic strokes such as the hit topspin, globe and cut. It is extremely easy to get with him and, given that the response of our players and their movement is very good, is easy to calculate properly the timing right in every scrimmage. Can some users (especially the most experienced and purists) is not convinced the simplicity of control, but certainly the vast majority appreciate it. Following the control system is necessary to mention the full support of motion systems relevant to each of the three platforms: PS Move, Kinect and Wii Motion Plus.

The PS3 and Wii users who want to control the game through Move PS and Wii Motion Plus will find in these systems an alternative and fun way to meet the Virtua Tennis games 4, but not the most desirable if they want to win games. The reason is very simple, and that is if it is true that the sense of realism increases, the accuracy can be obtained using PS Move and Wii Motion Plus is lower than that offered by the traditional pad. And equally, since our view, the default camera tracking the evolution of our player when we played using any of these peripherals are placed too close to, so much so that even sometimes the ball goes out of our field of vision. For Kinect happens something very similar, although more emphasis is still the little "lag time between our movement and its recognition by the camera. It is still playable, but not cash.

    Game Modes:

As regards the rules of the game, Virtua Tennis gives us half a dozen o f game modes and some of them are Display, Network Game, Arcade, Training, and Game World Championship Group. The latter mode, World Championship, is in our opinion the most prominent of all if you play alone, with really long and deep. It must participate in four full seasons longer trying to win the four majors and getting as many stars as possible. A real challenge.
The first thing to do in this option is to create our player. To this end we enjoyed a simple but very functional editor that lets you choose the basic features of our tennis. Once created, we expect long journeys around the world in which we start by choosing the tournaments, training, interviews, relationships with fans and much more.

    Features:

The world’s top stars return – The top players in the world return, joined by some of the most exciting up-and-coming contenders. An all-star line-up of 19 players includes Nadal, Federer, Murray, Sharapova, Wozniacki and Williams
Headbands at the ready - Players will be able to get even closer to the real thing with new motion control functionality on Move, Kinect and Wii Motion+
Tennis stardom awaits – A totally new World Tour sees the VT career mode go ‘RPG’. Designed to encourage replay value and with an element of off-court fame, each decision affects a player’s career path meaning no two careers will ever be the same.
A true online hub for our community – The new online centre will offer the world’s first engaging online tennis experience. Designed using the popular Virtua Fighter 5 technology, the matchmaking system promises more competitive games, and online tournaments will seek to find the ultimate Virtua Tennis champion.
Experience the drama - A brand new on-court feature making for more dramatic matches. Build up your Match Momentum gauge over the course of a match and revel in your form as your player grows in confidence, allowing them to play shots mere mortals can only dream about.
Putting the fun back into mini-games – Breaking the mini-game mould to include new weather conditions and put a real focus on multiplayer action, the VT mini-games will give players a real alternative mode to compete in both multiplayer and online.

    Game Controls

The management of our player should not be a problem. Here we present the basic controls and shocks to which we must pay attention once we start playing. Similarly, we analyzed the four playing surfaces and goings at the time of receiving the bounce of the ball, depending on the speed, height of bounce, and so on. Later we will discuss a few steps to follow to fail or a ball while we're playing at the highest level. Note that we have used the Xbox 360 version to make the guide so that the exposed controls relate to this issue.

    Strike
    • Button: Strike Plan
    • Button B: Hit 'super shot'
    • X Button: jab
    • Button: Globe

    Movement
    • Analog Stick: Move the player around the track.

    Remove
    • Button: Get Map
    • Button B: Remove topspin
    • X Button: Make Cut

Just keep in mind that there is super shot, a special move that is activated to fill the energy bar that appears at the top of the screen when we choose what style of game we want to represent our player. There are different types of playing styles.

    Customizing the player

In this tab you can alter the basics of your player as far as physical concerns. Although it may appear otherwise, it really has little effect on height or contour of the player, as long as they fit into the base of a specific playing style. A top player will be more effective on the serve and less in the race (usually). Here not seen much difference, so you can create your player any way you please.

    Travel Tickets

To the right of the screen a small hole for travel tickets. It is important to understand the new system of Virtua Tennis 4 to understand that we cannot move at will around the map. Each hole is indicated on the one step we must take to glory. Sometimes these holes are empty. Others invite us to perform an activity of various kinds. Each ticket covers a certain amount of boxes and random, making it impossible to change the number of steps we can take in each case. This directory will not be possible progress to be guided by what is convenient to advance to the first sign.
    • Normal Tickets: you will see a number that indicates how many moves you can make.
    • Tickets trials: change the number of tickets movements displayed by default.
    • Management Offices: here you can buy tickets in terms of money that we have acquired in the race.

Event reward: At the end of each of the selected events will receive a reward. If properly address COINS receive training in both basic concept of reward (for the mere fact of having passed the test) as our performance on track. We can use coins to buy items and other paraphernalia in stores offering the game.

    Playing Style

One of the most important developments of Virtua Tennis 4 is the presence of different styles of play, a feature that comes to define how we approach learning to give our players as we move boxes on the map. We go have a look no further. Please note that we can change our style of play depending on the interests of each party. Similarly, do not forget to think about the training, because each one strengthens a range of skills (e.g., clay pigeon shooting is very useful if we play at the bottom of the track, but little if ours is the network game or serve and volley).

Stroke skills: These skills are designed with the mind set on the players who hit hard from the bottom of the track. It's halfway between defensive and attacking style. The explanation of the proper skills of each classification should be enough to give us an idea of what we want before starting to play (or as we go).

Counterattack (20): Defensive style that absorbs attacks and counterattacks. This style is ideal for players who are less powerful but fastballs. Return the most powerful blows the attackers, particularly when combined with the speed and track speed.

Defensive skills: Designed for players to defend themselves in the bottom of the track and have no need to attack, but rather the opposite: they are very defenders. These players do not surprise us with quick shots, but with strong contrast and a blistering pace to fight harder balls.

Groundstroke’s (10): Confident style that waits for the ball bounces. Stable and powerful blows. We filled the bar with shots from the back of the court.

Offensive Forehand (50): Little to add to the name. The effect is very powerful. Ideal for filling the energy bar against opponents.

Power shots (10): Aggressive style focused on shots from the baseline. We have to take powerful blows to activate the bar.

Powerful forehand (20): Playing style big right. Ineffectiveness of the network but high strength to continuing right hands at the bottom of the track.

Quick Race (50): One way to ensure that no ball is left out of the track. Weak but precise goals. Returning the bar filled the entire ball falling behind us.

Returns either (40): Pressed with strong and stable returns. In this way we will get a receiver that is capable of solving games with a devastating rest.

Sharp downturn (30): Style with strong backs to dominate the game. Fill the bar taking several setbacks followed.

Solid defense (30): The idea is to exhaust the enemy with this style. If you are lengthening the rallies and presume to return most powerful blows, this is a very good option for success.

Strike effect (40): The game is defined as a style for 'clay', with topspin strokes. Is achieved by hitting the ball as it falls through the first boat, near the ground, with a pronounced effect, quite common in Nadal, but then he gets to raise the boat.

Tactical skills: Tactical skills echo the style of play used on the playing field Murray, for instance.

Broad rally (30): Here we are interested in mastering the attacks of the opponent no excuse to avoid his attack. Ideal to play with sharply angled shots, the method we use to ensure that the bar is full and thus carry out a super shot.

Many hits (20): To confuse style with cut shots, left and balloons. It is ideal if you have those players who like to find a set piece before hitting the ball without much practical meaning.

Skillful play (50): Style shock complicated, with different effects. Not achieve good results compared to the network or with the service, but will break the rhythm of the opponent before you know it, braking and strengthening their attacks against us.

Sliding cut (40): With this attack we got the rival defense cannot be based on short balls. If you fill the bar with topspin concentration, we guarantee to get a point when applying super shot.

Tactical (10): We filled the bar banging half-court angle. It's a pretty good shape to be a balanced player who puts the ball better than he hits. Without too much power.

Network Skills: The networking capabilities are mainly those players wear style kick / volley, attacking those hard to go fast network. Virtua Tennis is not quite common to find players who have mastered this technique-at least not in the early stages of the game, "but master is one of the secrets to finish the fast track to the tedium which makes many encounters hard the circuit.

Aggressive volley (10): The idea is to make a cut shot to halt the advance of the ball, go to the net and volleying on time. It is difficult to master, like the rest of blows, as it requires great risk in the presence of balloons.

Full (20): A balanced style, like Federer, which provides a wide range of movement without sacrificing any of the roads. Play in the network to fill the bar, but get used to suffer strokes placed but little power.

Good service (30): Volley of the game is completed with the service, as mentioned above. Bring the bar to the top with punches that caught up, yet powerful, which is partly a contradiction.

Serve and volley (40): Little to add to this skill. It is one of the more traditional styles of tennis, based on the use of short balls and quick hits. We filled the bar with the serve and kill them, so we select when we have gained enough experience to avoid embarrassment in front of the star rival.

Very fast service (50): Maybe you've got an ace as its way up the circuit, but we assure you will not succeed so easily when faced with the top tiers of the circuit at an advanced level of difficulty. It is the best way to demolish the opponent with the kick. Throwing balls filled the bar high and fast. A very committed style, ideal for the final stages of the competition.

re: Virtua Tennis 4 Walkthrough, Tips and Cheats

    Playground:

As in reality, Virtua Tennis 4 provides four surfaces we must master to overcome the most important tournaments of the season. Among them will find important and interesting changes. In this sense, the Sega franchise has always tried to follow a more or less established that has not changed too much over the years. So we have to take into account the following areas:

Grass: With Wimbledon and the tournament par excellence, the grass tends to slow the bounce of the ball, but cannot throw balls very angled them to lose speed (yes boat). The grass is a good way to stop the players who play far behind, at the bottom of the track, as they will be in complications when having to move quickly to get a short ball.

Earth: Areas used for the supremacy of Nadal. The ball bounces more, run less to slide on the ground, allowing very attractive game of long rallies. Here it is the opposite to what we see in the indoor. We should not dominate especially the bounce of the ball, but our positioning, critical to prevent our player commits unforced errors.

Synthetic: It's the perfect track to throw balls at full speed, high jackpot, where placement matters a lot and kick the ball. If we are good we have done half a job punches because the physical is relatively minor. It is one of the best tracks for Roger Federer look their best game, like Murray, two players in Virtua Tennis is true for sending lavish balls when well placed.

Dura: Meets the characteristics of the above, but reduce speed. Here we would care more about the physical without being totally key to determining the winner of the match.

    How to hit the ball
    • Do not miss the bounce of the ball
    • Do not move the player's account. Do it just to position yourself properly.
    • Make loose shots and set to gain a good position.
    • Charge your shot, with power coming from behind when the rest of rival has caught up.
    • Do not get into the network randomly unless you find a significant advantage for the opponent.
    • Try to launch a powerful kick to the outside line to take the player to rival the track. Ideal against the top tiers.

Always measured the bounce of the ball. Put a few steps behind her and, when you go to shoot, press the stick forward. This will get printed weight on the ball, throwing it to the back of it. If we do run the risk that the ball is halfway or when it rises too much. To do this we must learn not to constantly move the tennis player unless it is absolutely essential. The more you move, the less likely we are to make a smash hit, the need to find the perfect angle.

Try to shoot with confidence, always using the button on the drive. Moves from left to right and seeks to send the ball to the desired area. When you give, try to keep a few seconds the stick forward, so win the ball deep. What we want to achieve with this is to learn the positioning of the player with respect to the ball, so that we avoid releases fail for not understanding the opponent's position on the track.

After mastering this concept must learn to hit a little harder. When we put the player in the right place, press the shutter button results in the load force (see that there is a somewhat slower animation in which the player loads the shot). Are blows that we must seize, since they depend on for our victory or defeat. In fact, one of the few ways to end a point quickly.

    Super Shot

It is, as stated in the promotional poster for this installment, the most significant novelty of it, but not to be particularly difficult to understand, nor control. The super shot becomes a sort of reward to be granted according to the reliability that we have selected as a representative part of our tennis. Nadal, for example, is a player who plays in the background of the track, usually defending. VT is understood that several shots fill the bar defense specific concentration of the stroke, allowing very strong throw a ball if you press the B button (the equivalent to the circle on PS3) when we return a rest.

At first convey the feeling of being useless, but soon realizes the enormous value of the same when playing against players who imitate our style of play, or simply higher levels of difficulty. To make the shot impacts in a privileged area, we must first consider what kind of play we want to do, either throwing in very strong right kick to send the ball quickly to the left or simply looking for the right time during the play.

The best way to master them is to press hard on the button while hold-headed, stick to the direction in which we carry out the scrimmage. We should not have trouble accessing complicated ball (with a lateral jump) or a smash when we misplaced, provided we have preloaded this useful energy bar. Similarly we think that this bar should be chosen according to our style of play. Unlike Top Spin, this does not really change our style of play according to skill, but rather the opposite: our ability should be a complement to the show on the tennis court.

    Unlocking Duke and King

Hi, I need some help, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I've completed the arcade mode with Roger Federer without loosing a single point and all I got is an exhibition match against Jim Courier, I'm playing on Xbox360. Is there any other condition I need to consider besides of completing arcade mode with a male player without loosing a point to unlock Duke?

The other question is how do I unlock King??

    Thanks.

Re: Virtua Tennis 4 Walkthrough, Tips and Cheats

It is bit tough to unlock king in the game. For that you have to play the game in arcade mode first at normal difficulty. You can play that by choosing any character of your choice. After that you have to win the four matches. Remember that do not loose any game which can hamper your points. The medals you have to earn here should be similar to the categories of 5 and 6. There must not be difference in this.

Re: Virtua Tennis 4 Walkthrough, Tips and Cheats

I just thought I'd share my experiences on unlocking King.

It doesn't matter what difficulty arcade mode is set to, nor which player you choose, as you can face him with anyone- I unlocked him by playing in easy mode with Caroline Wozniacki, but I know others who've used Nadal, Djokovic and Chakvetadze.

You are allowed to drop points in your games, however if you want to face King, you mustn't lose any games, or let any game get to deuce. In addition to this, your point score needs to be above 3000000, with at least 4 medals in each of the shot categories. After then, you'll either face Duke or King.

Unfortunately, who you face is 100% pot luck- I've cleared arcade mode with Nadal, Sharapova and Becker... but bizarrely only got to play him using Wozniacki- the others all faced Duke! Hope this helps.
