MKV. (Aka Matroska) is a free video format that integrates video, sound and even subtitles in a single file. Spread on the canvas, it also allows the labeling of audio tracks, video and subtitles, integrated attachments, such as pictures or illustration chaptering support. Finally, it is able to encapsulate HD content in 720p or 1080p. Clubic will explain below how to play MKV video through two procedures: using VLC and install K-Lite Codec Pack . The procedure is performed by Windows 7.
Process:
Step 1: Download and install VLC Media Player in your PC.
Step 2: Right-click on your MKV file, then click Open With, and choose VLC.
Note that if VLC can play MKV files, it is possible that play smoothly, if not impossible. It all depends on the codec embedded in the file. MKV, especially when it includes RSS RealVideo or Quicktime.
