You can find the registry database by a Windows program named "Regedit.exe" stored on your hard drive C: in the Windows folder.
- If you run this program, open a window split into 2 parts.
- The left side represents the tree of the registry (and yes everything is pretty tidy, nothing to do with my apartment!).
- The right side displays the information that you selected in the left side.
Browsing the to familiarize yourself with a bit without changing anything if you start.
There are many programs to help with the registry, some free, many pay.
I'll try to find free programs most helpful in handling the registry.
With these programs you will be able to:
- Clean the registry
- Set deep in Windows
- Remove Programs
- Save / Restore database
- Quickly find an entry in the database
- Edit the base more easily than Regedit
- Monitor changes in the registry
