How to handle a disk image

A disk image is a raw copy of a media like a DVD, for example. There are numerous formats, depending on the software used to create it. But how it is possible to read any of these files without having all of these programs? So in this method we will show you how to rip, edit and burn any image.

IsoBuster, firstly, is capable of handling an extremely large number of file formats, image and is very easy to use. You will be able to convert as many as 31 different types of images to the standard iso. You can then edit this file with newly created Virtual CloneDrive. Finally, BurnAware Free Edition allows you to burn your data, before or after any changes.

Step 1: Open your file with IsoBuster
The first step will allow us to get rid of the problem of image format. IsoBuster will indeed generate an iso from any image file formats among 31 listed on the following image.

    1. Download and install IsoBuster. Note that the software offers the use of an additional toolbar. Feel free to uncheck the boxes.
    2. In the "File" menu, select "Open Image File" and browse your hard drive for the file in question. The structure of the image will appear in the left side of the window.
    3. Then click on the top of the tree and choose the first entry in the menu "Retrieving ... .
    4. Select the target folder where your iso file will be created and run the procedure.

The duration of this stage depends on the speed of your machine. Once done, you're in possession of an iso file that you can handle without difficulty with other software.
