This tutorial will teach you how to change your counter-strike logo! The logo is the image that you can put on walls, boxes etc. The game offers a few logo already in its options, so to change it go to the options "personalize" (customize in English)! You will soon realize that it is very limited and you want a much more fun than that, more beautiful logo or more fun, then follow the guide below.
First start by downloading HL Tag Converter, which is a software that allows you to edit an ordinary image file into pldecal.wad, which is the format used for inserting logo that we need!

Once downloaded double click the executable to start the program!
You will then get this window, click "Open Image", then you will have to select the image you want to insert! The advantage of HL Tag Converter over Decal Converter is that it is compatible with many image formats.
This image appears in the middle of the window, click on "Adjust Image"!
Now from there you can change the size of your logo! Beware if the lines "Surface" and "MaxSurface" appear in red cause it means that your logo is too big!
The parties that appear in blue on your logo are transparent and they will not appear on your logo!
The most convenient is to click on auto-size, then you have to put the maximum size according to your picture!
Now that you have set the size of your logo click on "Apply changes and convert to 256 colors"!
Now simply enter your logo! Click on "Save Tag" and then set the parameter: "Export to WAD file".
It will ask you where you want to save your wad and what name you should give it! For the name you should call your wad pldecal.wad!
The path depends on your version of Counter-Strike!
If you play with the 1.6 version, your path will be C: \ Program Files \ Steam \ SteamApps \ e-mail@provider.com \ counter-strike \ cstrike.
If you play in version 1.5 you must save the file cstrike daqns (me for example is: C: \ Sierra \ Counter-Strike \ cstrike)
So if everything goes well it will ask you if you want to replace your old pldecal.wad by the new, click yes!
That's it, finished, your logo is created, you can now go and connect to a lan party to see the result.
CAUTION: Now, your new logo works all the time and we should not go change the logo from the "personalize" menu of counter-strike or the logo that you created are overwritten!
