Windows Vista: How to configure the wifi

The method of configuration of the wifi in Windows having changed since the passage to Windows Vista, this subject will be useful for you to establish a connection to a network wifi simply. Two methods are proposed. The first in the case or the signal without wire is diffused and perceived by the material wifi which equips your system Windows Vista. The second if no signal appears and/or if you must configure your system manually (to configure before being with range of the signal without wire for example).

Manual configuration of the network in Windows Vista

If your network is not detected or if you must manually enter a network setting.

To do so:

In the “Connect to a network” , select “Set up a connection or network” . Now choose “Manually connect to a wireless network” and click on “Next”.

First, fill the “Network name”.

Select the security type and the encryption you use on your network. Now enter the security key and check the option "Start this connection automatically".

Click the "Next" button, then click "Connect to..." . You successfully configured a connection to a wireless network.

For Auto-connection:

• Click on the "Start Menu" -> "Control Panel" -> "Network and Internet" present in the list of the panel of right-hand side.
  
• Now go to "Network and Sharing Center" and select "Connect to a network",
  
• Select "Show All"and click on refresh. If you got active netwrok connections an choose one of them as per your wish, click on "Connect" and check mark on "Start this connection automatically". If you want Windows Vista to connect automatically to the selected network every time you log in.
