Apple MOBILEME Service: Webmail for mac osx

    MOBILEME : WEBMAIL

If you open an account "MobileMe" and that consequently you have an email address to "me.com", then you can also access your emails (send and receive ) directly from the me.com site, entering your account and go to "Mail" (button-shaped envelope at the top far left).

This "Webmail" "MobileMe" is a service which is very useful when you're away from your favorite Mac, and you still want to read your emails or send ... While you're at home or if you use your laptop when you travel, this service will only be useless, since you can use "Mail" (or other email) from your home computer or laptop to receive and send your emails.

But if you're in the office, with friends in a cafe or behind any computer that you find somewhere, in short, on a computer that is not yours (and even if a horrible PC, no one is perfect), it is quite possible to receive and send your email address with your personal me.com! With the tool "Webmail" Site "MobileMe" exactly!

HOW TO USE WEBMAIL INTERFACE "MOBILE ME"?

    • First make sure the computer is in front of you is connected to the Internet (course !...), then start a web browser (Safari login, Internet Explorer, Firefox ,safari....)
    • Then simply go on the homepage of your account "MobileMe", HERE!
    • Enter your login ( "Name Subscriber") and password (from your account "MobileMe"). Then click "Login".
    • On the page that appears, click "Mail" in the top left.
    • You then arrive at the window, which is not without recalling the window "MAIL":
    • To check your new mail, click "Record": Your new emails appear in the window, "at home"!
    • To delete an email, click the "Delete" to read simply click on it. Unread email display a blue ball in front of the sender.
    • To reply to the sender to all recipients of selected message or to return the message, use the buttons provided for this purpose at the top of the webmail window.

    To write a new email

    • click on "Create a new message." You can access the files on your remote address book "MobileMe" directly from the page to write your emails.
    • To do this, click the "Address Book", all right.
    • You also have access to a spellchecker (button "ABC").

    To send the message,
    • click the "Send Message". If you want to save as draft (because you did not complete or prefer to delay its delivery), then click on the button "Save this message as a draft."
    • since it is the same as for the "Mail". You can even access files in your address book. But this book "remote" is on Apple's servers and is not the same as that found on your computer (application "Address Book"). But thanks to "MobileMe Sync" it can synchronize addresses that are in your "Address Book" with this book "remote" "MobileMe."
    • Note: You can go directly to your "Address Book" remote "MobileMe" button "Address Book" on the front page of your account "MobileMe." You can then add / edit / delete your contact sheets.

    Set preferences WEBMAIL "MOBILE ME":

Once in "webmail", you can also have a button-shaped serrated wheel to operate a number of actions ,but also provides access to 5 entries for this preference tool "webmail".

    Section
    1. "General":
This tab lets you configure the look of your interface "webmail," the behavior of the BAL, and enable or disable webmail on the anti-spam "junk" (the same function as that proposed in the "Mail").
    2. Topics "Presentation" and "Writing":
The tab "Presentation" allows to set the display of the webmail interface number of posts per page, thumbnail short or long messages, to enable or disable the loading of images in HTML messages, whether or not to activate the display of headers long. The "Writing" helps to set the writing interface (when you write an email) webmail and inform your identity signature, photo ID etc ....
    3. Topic "Alias":
This tab allows you to create "alias" (by clicking on "Create Alias") from your address "xxxx@me.com. For example you can create an address" techarena@me.com "and all emails sent at this address "alias" will be directed to your address in "xxxx@me.com. You can create as many alias addresses as you want! This is very handy if you do not want to give your real email address or do not leave it lying on forums, sites etc. ..... and avoid spam ...
    4. "Other":
This tab allows you to transfer your address "xxxx@me.com" to another of your email addresses ( "Forwarding"), to raise another mailbox via your interface "webmail" your account "MobileMe" and activate an answering machine (handy if you're away some time) by checking the "reply to mail automatically upon receipt" and typing in the box below the text of the automated reply. So if someone sends you an email and you have ticked this box, that someone will automatically receive an email back with the message you type in this box.

    VERY IMPORTANT!
For reasons of security and privacy, do not forget to click "Logout" at the top right of the page of your account "MobileMe" every time you leave the service "Webmail" and computer that you used on that occasion. This will ensure that anyone can access your emails!

Re: Apple MOBILEME Service: Webmail for mac osx

    Conclusion:

There is no doubt that this service can be very useful if you need to consult fairly regularly your emails while you're away from your home .... In order not to cut ties with your many correspondents ... APPLE With this service, you can use any Mac or PC to continue to match! For example, if you're on vacation for a long period, if you're in the office or elsewhere ... It is very difficult indeed to find points of Internet connection everywhere around us: cafes, hotels, in some jurisdictions, or simply with your colleagues or friends .... In short, with "MobileMe webmail," is as if all the computers you owned!
