9 Firefox extensions to enhance your privacy

In the computer world the dangers are known not only viruses, crackers, phishing or spyware. There are "threats" far larger than those just listed, which can affect our mental and physical safety: those who respond to the name of relatives and friends who do not even remotely imagine where it will live confidentiality. Yes, just the same people who love to play with the PC going to rummage in the history of websites visited, not to mention those who burst into our room when we are visiting Web sites from the content itself is not defined as educational.

So you want to do surfing or at work, the data passing through your web browser must be protected in the best possible way, with ad hoc tools. That is why we decided to propose a list of 9 extensions for Firefox suited to such needs. Install and have fun ... but not too much!
  • TabRenamizer

Say you are carrying out a major research for school for science and your sources (that you do not want others to see) are all open in different tabs in Firefox? Perhaps it is better to use this nice extension to rename all of their titles simultaneously assigning less "suspicious" and avoid non-exemplary figure in the eyes of relatives and jammers

  • Page Title Eraser

For the same reason mentioned above, might need to clear the title of the tab for the website you are visiting. Use this addon to get the expected result using a simple key combination Shift + Alt + Ctrl + H.

  • hideBad

Save the current session and, at the press of a key combination, restarts the browser displaying the home page by default. It also allows you to erase history, cache, research and other traces of browsing.

  • Panic Button

A button real "anti-panic" that allows the user to instantly close all Firefox windows open, and then restore the session to "work" when you want more.

  • Panic

Another extension of "anti-panic". Close all open tabs and a new show on a website previously chosen by the user.

  • Distrust

Allows you to begin browsing sessions without leaving any trace of what has been done. It disables saving history, cache and all those elements that could indicate unauthorized use of your browser.

The version for Firefox 3.x, you can download it from here (the page on the Mozilla site has not yet been updated).

  • Stealther

Other add-secret agents who do not want to leave traces of your browsing. Temporarily disabling history (including that of the address bar), cookies, history files downloaded, the cache, saving the information entered in forms, the list of recently closed tabs and referer.

  • Close'n forget

Do the same work as "Stealther", but selectively. It reveals in fact a particular close button on each tab, which begins the immediate cancellation of all traces of browsing.

  • HistoryBlock

Extension that allows you to create a list of websites not to enter and then never ever in the history of Firefox.

Nice tutorial on useful Firefox plugins. Will surely help in keeping privacy.
There is also Ghostzilla that let your browse from within any application and hide it in a flash.
