When you have a phone running Windows Mobile, it makes sense to connect it to your PC to sync contacts or appointments, to enjoy the music or add software. For this PC side, you must have Outlook, the manager of e-mails and contacts and Microsoft ActiveSync.
If Outlook is not installed by default in Windows on your PC, simply use the installation CD that came with any Windows Mobile phone. The only problem is that the version limited to six months. Microsoft designed Windows Mobile for business, but has no provision for individuals who can not invest in the purchase of its Office suite.
Also, if you want to sync your mail from your PC with the mobile, it goes without saying that you use Outlook as manager of e-mails. It manages the calendar and contacts, which is a good deal.
