What makes reboot a PC ?

    What makes reboot a PC?

    Bad memories

Most of the time, restart interface problems are due to RAM sticks deficient. The memory "NoName" (unbranded) have particularly small defects that can prevent the smooth operation of the PC. We must test the memories with memtest86: Test RAM .

The results of memtest are easy to analyze: If you start screen retains the same table after at least one complete pass, we can estimate that the memory is healthy. If lines were added, your memory is faulty.

For example, choose the Corsair ram is reliable (lifetime warranty) and of good quality.

® Tip: If your motherboard allows it, then the acquisition of two bars is preferable to take advantage of Dual Channel it. To take advantage of this mode, it is mandatory to use two bars (same brand) and quality (no NoName!)

    Hardware conflict

    Hardware conflict

At first, try to update the drivers for your computer by downloading the latest versions on the sites of manufacturers or on http://www.drivers.com/

If this is not enough, it may be useful to restart the PC with a minimum of devices. Unplug the CD players, recorders, the Internet connection (modem), printers, hard disk complementary, and so on. Retry until reboot the PC do more. Where do most reboot, reconnect the devices one by one up to experience the problem again!

    CPU Overheating

    CPU Overheating

Check the temperature of the processor and, if it is too high, install a more powerful fan. Check the temperature of the processor, simply use a utility supplied with some motherboards, or the software Everest.

® Tip: If necessary, it would be wise to remove dust that is in the box with a bomb air for example. This will not only reduce the noise of the PC but can also, in some cases, reduce the ambient temperature of the PC and therefore, logically, the processor also!

    PSU defective

    PSU defective

This case is uncontrollable without specific electrical equipment. The solution is to change food for a more powerful, while hoping that this will resolve the problem or get tested by a professional.

Restarting can also come from EDF micro cuts. It is possible to test your grid by EDF through a device provided. If indeed you are a victim of micro-cuts, EDF will need, but in the opposite case, it is useful to know that the movement will be charged.

The purchase of a UPS will address this problem!

    Software conflict

It is necessary to remember when was the problem and what software or drivers that were installed before the commencement of trouble. Then remove the software or update the driver responsible for the conflict!

    Faulty equipment

Take the computer to full review: motherboard, processor, video card, sound card, etc. A repairman can do the job and test the machine by changing these components one by one!

    The BIOS

Ensure that the frequency of memory is correct and that the latency is well on the configuration.

A BIOS update is also available by visiting the site of the manufacturer of your motherboard. Remember to make a backup disk current BIOS. Do not make this a day because a storm power outage during the BIOS update would be fatal for it!

    Viruses

Apart from the problems caused by the computer itself and its components, has obviously been added action viruses. It is one of the leading causes of rebootages interface. In this case, there are several viruses and derivatives capable of causing such trouble with the famous Sasser and Blaster.
I will not enumerate here how to fight because this is not the point, you find all links to the various patches and fixes, and the manipulation required to disable the restoration of your system, so eliminate more!

    Tips for Windows

    Disable automatic restart

To stop the reboots interface, simple enough sometimes, but it is not effective in all cases:
    1) Go to "Start", then "Control Panel" then "Performance and Maintenance" and "System" (or by right-click "My Computer" and selecting "Properties")
    2) Click the Advanced tab
    3) Click "Settings" Startup and Recovery "
    4) Uncheck "Automatically restart"

    OR

    1) Click the "Start"
    2) Select "Run ..."
    3) Enter "shutdown-a"
    4) Click "OK"

This operation is valid only for Windows XP!

Open the System log of the Event

It is possible to read or message (s) error (s) generated (s) by the system through the Event Viewer.
    Go to:
    1) open the Control Panel, then Administrative Tools "
    2) Double-click "Computer Management"
    3) Open the "Event Viewer" (under "System Tools") and read the error messages.

Just to search on Google with words and error codes (s) most relevant message to find people having the same problem, and possibly the answer to your question!
