How to find the list of fake universities in India

I am looking for the list of fake universities in India. I can only find third party website who's information is not complete. I want some government that can officially provide details of this fake educational institution. I do think there is any site available which has a proper list. I had seen a lot of private universities appear on internet. They give distance education. It can be a risk if I apply blindly.

That's right. You must always check the status of university college you are appearing. Because in future it can create a problem. Many people faces this issue when they apply for government job. Many private courses are not considered. I am also looking for the same. It will be helpful if there is some site that can give list of different types of universities in India.

There is a site for that. I had provided the link below. You have to go on the website of University Grant Commission. This is a government institution that take care about all different type of educational institute in India. No university is considered as appropriate if it not registered or identified by UGC. Thanks for this information. This is quiet helpful for all kind of student. Especially for those who are looking for distance education. I had seen in news a number of fake universities are still operating. Any student who apply waste a long time with them and at last their degree is of no use.
