    AIPMT 2009 Examination Schedule

    1. AIPMT (Preliminary) 2009 on 5th April, 2009 - OBJECTIVE TYPE
    2. AIPMT (Final) 2009 on 10th May, 2009 - SUBJECTIVE TYPE

    AIPMT 2009 Preliminary Exam: 5th April, 2009 (First Sunday) 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM

    AIPMT 2009 Final Exam: 10th May, 2009 (Second Sunday)

    Paper-1: 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon
    Paper-2: 1.00 PM to 3.00 PM

    AIPMT 2009 Exam Pattern:

    The duration of paper would be 3 hours.

    The Preliminary Examination would consist of one paper containing 200 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.


    Final Examination:

    (Only for those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination)

    The Final Examination would consist of two papers each of 2 hours duration. Paper-1 would contain questions from Physics and Chemistry and Paper-2 would contain questions from Biology (Botany Zoology).

    The Final Examination will have conventional (non-objective) type of questions to be answered in the Answer Book supplied.

    AIPMT 2009 Exam Eligibility Criteria

    1. Candidate must be of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./DENTAL Course.
    2. The upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. candidates of Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes/Other Backward Classes are relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years
    3. Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K are not eligible.
    4. Only Indian nationals are eligible.
    5. The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the NCERT.

      A candidate who is taking up the qualifying examination prior to the competitive test, or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take up the said test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the M.B.B.S. or Dental Course, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of allotment by personal appearance.
