Govt. of Maharashtra has decided to conduct a single Combined Common Entrance Exam for selection to all degree courses in Engineering ,Medical, Medicine, MBA, MCA, UPSC, IAS, IFS, CDS, NDA , SSB, Law, UPSC,Health Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, BVSc.& AH cources ,under Govt./ Corporation /Govt. Aided Colleges and Govt. Quota in Private colleges. The Entrance Exam will be held at all the district headquarters in Maharashtra. The entrance test is called Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET).

For the selection purpose there would be different competent authorities and the Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra will be the competent authority for Engineering and Parma Courses. MHT CET 2009 is conducted for admission to the Govt./Municipal Corp./ Govt. Aided colleges of Health Sciences degree courses, Govt./ Govt. Aided/ University Managed Colleges/ University Departments and Unaided Private Colleges (those colleges who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET 2009) of Engineering and Pharmacy degree Courses and BVSc & AH degree course.


Eligibility:

Indian nationals passed or appearing in the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Maths and English as the subjects at HSC or its equivalent examination and must have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for backward class category candidates from Maharashtra State only). Outside Maharashtra candidates would be eligible to appear in the MHT-CET but they would be considered for admission to unaided private institutes only.

MHT-CET-2009

Government of Maharashtra shall conduct a single combined "Common Entrance Test" MHT-CET-2009 for all Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy degree courses for the academic year 2009-2010. The said CET will be held on Thursday, 7th May 2009.Detailed program regarding issue of application forms and information brochures will be announced later.
