    Cbse Aipmt-2009

    All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2009

    Applications are invited in the prescribed form for All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2009 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to 15% of the total seats for Medical/Dental Courses in all Medical/Dental colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments, Municipal or other local authorities in India except in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir :-
    Important Notes:

    1. Preliminary Examination - 5th April, 2009 (Sunday)
    2. Final Examination - 10th May, 2009 (Sunday)


    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
    1. He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

    2. The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

    3. The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.

    4. The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry,Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. Those who are taking plus two examination in 2009 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

    5. 15% seats for SC candidates and 7.5% seats for ST candidates are reserved in 15% All India Quota for MBBS/BDS courses. The reservation will be made as per the 2200 point reservation roster. Further, in pursuance of the Hon’ble Supreme Court order dated 10-04-2008 and according to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development vide O.M No.1-1-2005-UIA/847 dated 20-04-2008 it has been decided to implement OBC reservation in phased manner on the pro-rata basis in respect of seats being contributed to the All India Quota by the Central Education Institutions only.

    PATTERN OF AIPMT-2009 EXAMINATION

    The Board is receiving a large number of queries from the candidates, whether the AIPMT (Final)-2009 examination would be subjective type of objective type? It is brought to the notice of all concerned that in the year 2009 there is no change in the pattern of AIPMT (Final) examination. Hence, the examination would be conducted in the following way :-
    1. AIPMT (Preliminary) 2009 on 5th April, 2009 - OBJECTIVE TYPE
    2. AIPMT (Final) 2009 on 10th May, 2009 - SUBJECTIVE TYPE


    It is also brought to the notice that the pattern would be changed from AIPMT-2010 examination.

    Examination Fees :
    CATEGORY
    GENERAL & OBC:Rs. 600/-
    SC/ST:Rs. 350/-

    Application can be submitted Online during 22.10.2008 (10:00 AM) to 01.12.2008 (05:00 PM)

    Payment of Fee could be made either by Demand Draft or by Credit Card
    a. Steps to be followed if fee paid through Demand Draft
    • If you want to remit the fee by Demand Draft, get ready before filling application form
    • Logon to the AIPMT website, fill the application form, note down the registration number which would be generated by system that is required for making the payment of fee.
    • Fill the details of Demand Draft.
    • Take a printout of Confirmation Page and complete as per the instruction given below.


    b. Steps to be followed if fee paid through Credit Card
    • Keep the details of Credit Card (VISA/MasterCard) ready.
    • Logon to the AIPMT website, fill the application form, note down the registration number which would be generated by system that is required for making the payment of fee.
    • Make the payment through Credit Card and note down the payment receipt number, after successful payment of fee.
    • Take a printout of Confirmation Page and complete as per the instruction given below.

    Photograph : Firmly affix two recent good quality color passport size photograph (taken on or after 1.9.2008) with gum/fevicol (not to be pinned or stapled) in the space provided for it in the Application Form, one duly attested by the Principal/Head of the institution/Gazatted Officer. Before affixing the photograph, candidate must write down his/her Name and Application Number on the back of the both the photographs with ball point pen only. The photograph must indicate clearly the name of the candidate along with the date of taking the photograph. Photographs should be without cap or goggles. Spectacles are allowed. Polaroid photos are not acceptable. The photograph of the candidate should be attested by the Principal/Head of the Institution or Gazetted Officer in such a way that part of the signature is on the photograph and remaining part of the signature is on the application form. Attestation should be done on the bottom part of the photograph so that the photograph is not defaced. Candidates not complying with these instructions or with unclear photograph are liable to be rejected. Candidates may keep 6-8 identical photographs in reserve for use at the time of entrance examination/Counselling/Admission.

    Before the dispatch of the application form, kindly ensure that the form is complete in all respect.

    Candidates submitting applications online are required :
    • to attach Demand Draft of required fee (In favour of “Secretary CBSE Delhi”, payable at Delhi).
    • to mention his/her Application No., Name, and Address on the back of the Demand Draft.
    • to retain a photocopy of confirmation page for future reference.
    • to retain a photocopy of the Demand Draft sent.
    • to retain a photocopy of the Transaction if fees paid by credit card.
    • to retain the original receipt issued by the post office for having dispatch the Application Form.
    • The processing of applications will begin only after receiving confirmation page and fee (By Credit Card or by Demand Draft).



    Procedure for refund of fee if paid through Credit Card
    If candidate has made the payment of fee through credit card & due to some unavoidable circumtances if candidate is unable to print the confirmation page and payment is again made by the candidate then following procedure may be followed to refund

    1. Writedown an application by giving the details of your registration number, all transactions details date wise, address etc to "Deputy Secretary (AIPMT) Central Board of Secondary Education, Shiksha Kendra, 2, Community Centre, Preet Vihar, Delhi 110 301" for refund
    2. Payment would be refunded to the candidate by CBSE after the last date of submission of application form.


    Reservation :
    1. 15% seats for SC candidates and 7.5% seats for ST candidates are reserved in 15% all India quota for MBBS/BDS courses. The reservation will be made as per the 2200 point reservation roster. The mode of implementation of reservation will be available on the website : www.mohfw.nic.in
    2. In pursuance of the Honourable Supreme Court order dated 10.04.2008 and according to detailed instructions of the Ministry of Human Resource Development issued vide their O-M-No. 1-1/2005- UIA/847 dt. 20.04.2008 it has been decided to implement OBC reservations in phased manner on the pro-rata basis in respect of seats being contributed to the All India Quota by the Central Education Institutions only. Detailed information in this regard will be available on the website : www.mohfw.nic.in later on.
