I have recently completed my HSC examination and I have always been dreaming about going into Astrophysics. I like to discover hidden secrets of space because I am very much interested in it. I simply want to observe and get all kinds of knowledge that I could get to make a history that everyone should remember. So, to start my carrier I will have to enter the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, so can anyone please tell me how should I apply for same? Thanks

If you want to get addmision into Indian Institute of Astrophysics then you will have to apply for its entrance exam by submitting your application form on their website and only after that they will take an entrance exam test from you. You will have to pass all the entrance test for taking admission. Just download its forms from the below website, you can also submit it online if you want. After completing the Indian Institute of Astrophysics you can also pursue for M.Sc Astronomy and get good preference. But for that you need to go through any one of the entrance exam mentioned below:

3. Harish Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) Combined Research Entrance Exam
4. IUCAA NCRA admission test (INAT) (set by the National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (NCRA-TIFR), Pune)
5. Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (A.R.I.E.S.), Joint Entrance Screening Test

Usually, the basic criteria that is need for you is to pursue a course in Astronomy is to complete your 12 STD examination.
