    Details of ITI course

    I want to do a job as a mechanic or similar field which involves working in a technical field as a technician. I want to do job part time as I pursue my further education, for that I need to do ITI course. Can someone provide me details about ITI course? I want to know what subjects it consists of, what will I work as and any other detail that can come into use.

    You can choose to become a Mechanic for Motor Vehicle. This course trains the student to work in an automobile industry or a garage for repairing a car. You can diagnose and repair problems in the engine, steering wheel and brakes of the cars as a Mechanic for Motor Vehicle. So basically you have to work for maintaining and repairing the faults in a vehicle. Minimum qualification necessary is Std. 10th passed with good marks in Mathematics and Science. Another option for you is to become an Electronic Mechanic. It trains the student for two years to work in Electronic industry. You will be taught to design Circuits, their working and Layout Test Points. This course includes practical in workshops which trains them to work on assembling and reassembling of electronic gadgets and parts. You can work on Electronic items, Power supplies, Amplifier, AM-FM Radio receivers, B/W & Color TV / VCD, home music systems.

    You can also work as a fitter. Job of a fitter includes the person to do maintenance, shipping, oil rigs, chemical industries and fabrication work. His too is a two years course. You can also do a course for being a Machinist. This course trains to handle various precision tools in machines used in industries and factories. The person is trained to work in any tool store in industry or a factory. You can also work as an electrician who can work on industrial and domestic appliances. One can also work on installation and maintenance of electric appliances. Most of your work will include to you work on single or three phase system, transformers, alternators, etc. It is a one year Non-Engineering course, which trains the candidate to learn fundamentals of computer. Identify and checking validity of data, to attain the data entry speed, provide hand-on experience on PC/Micro Comp, gaining knowledge of computer language like C, C++, gaining knowledge about various packages supported by PC such as Office Automation and learning basic concepts of networking.

    You can also work as an Lathe Operator. It requires you to work on metals and the lathe machines which shape the metal. You can work in the tool room of industries and work on the designing of various machines and its parts. You can also try getting job as Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance. The Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance course is meant for fresher over 3 years of training time. The candidate has to repair and look for maintenance of various precision machines and tools used in the machine shop, industries and factories. On completion of this course, you can also work as Machinist. You can also pursue career as Plumber whose course is for one year. You can become a professional plumber and perform domestic and commercial plumbing works and carry out necessary repairs. You can also work as fabricator and do the welding job or other such job regarding metal works.

    You can also specialize in electrics of a vehicle. Every vehicle has loads of electronic parts from ignition to automatic locking system. In short, maintenance of these parts requires a mechanic. So you can work as an Electronic engineer for vehicles electronics. Some institutes provide a special course for this engineering. You can also specialize in electronic engineer for two wheelers. This qualification can also be used to work on three wheeler vehicles. This job needs the person to work on maintenance, repair and installation of electronic parts of the vehicles. You can specialize in working of Air conditioner and refrigerator. In all this courses, learning English language is necessary subject.

    This course provides workers to industry and factories. Person doing ITI course may not get a high profile job in an industry but it is very useful for such person as they form a base of any industry. They are the people who observe every small minute detail of the machines in the factory. A person can learn many things from these jobs and reach to professional level with experience. So an ITI graduate plays an important role in current fast paced industrial age.

    You can work as an pump operator. Pump operator can work in a chemical factory to release the designated amount of chemicals for use. The pump operator is trained to use the hydraulics and pumps of different types. Most of his job includes par where he has to work on liquid materials. You can also works as a Wireman. Your job would be designing the flow of wires on construction sites. This designing includes planning according to the requirement of electricity in different parts of building. This course trains the person to recognize the type of wires and their materials. You can also do a course in Plastic Printing Operator. You will need to work in printing press as a printing person who prints banners and poster on plastic sheets.
